The Acubac Study
Vivienne Outram is an acupuncturist working at Wellforce. She has been asked by the University of Southampton Medical School to carry out an observational study on the treatment of back pain with acupuncture. The study is funded by the Arthritis Research Campaign.
The only requirement for you to be eligable to take part in the study is that you have back pain and agree to have a course of acupuncture with Vivienne. There are forms and questionnaires to fill in. If you have Westfield or HSA medical cover you should be able to receive some of the cost of the treatment back from them. For the duration of the study Vivienne will charge 50% of her normal price. On completion of the study you will also receive gift vouchers.
