Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a traditional hands-on Japanese healing therapy. Your Shiatsu therapist will use stretches, elbow or finger pressure to work on particular areas of the body (Like that of Acupuncture but without the needles). The philosophy behind Shiatsu is that vital energy known as Qi flows through the body in a series of channels called meridians. When these meridians are blocked dis-ease will appear in the body or mind. Shiatsu works with specific pressure points that correspond with meridains in the body to encourage the energy to flow and therefore improving the symptoms of blocked qi (energy). Like Acupuncture your Shiatsu therapist will work with your total wellbeing in mind on an emotional, spiritual and physical level.
