HYPNOTHERAPY is the application of hypnotic techniques in such a way as to bring about therapeutic changes. An external influence - the Therapist - assists in activating the inner resources of a person - the Client - in order to achieve realistic goals.

The problems that HYPNOTHERAPY is best placed to help fall into the following broad classes: Thoughts and Ideas, Phobias, Feelings and Habits.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT TO HAPPEN?

Perhaps the most important thing is that you can expect to feel comfortable and at ease with your therapist. This is of particular importance in Hypnotherapy, in which the value of treatment is greatly enhanced when you have confidence in the practitioner. For this reason we recommend that you book a single session at first and only afterwards decide if you want to proceed with more.

The next stage is that you will be asked about the problem and notes may be taken.

The third stage is hypnosis itself. You are led, by the Hypnotherapist's gently guiding voice, into a state where your body and mind are relaxed and nearly asleep. You will remain awake enough to be aware.
