Acupuncture, Reflexology and Holistic Massage
I first became serious about studying complementary therapies whilst working in Hull for the hospital's Patient Advice and Liason Service. I heard many stories of people enduring illnesses despite prolonged western medical intervention (particularly pharmaceutical) and I thought there must be a better way to treat these people and their condtions.
This prompted me to pursue a career in the field of complementary and alternative therapies and I moved to Manchester to study acupuncture. During this time I also completed a diploma in reflexology - I felt this would compliment the energy work I was undertaking as an acupuncturist, and offer patieents another way of re-balancing their Qi (life force) and returning to a state of well-being.
I also offer holistic massage - a combination of different massage techniques based on the same meridian theory as acupuncture. Perfect for stress and tension; or as an adjunct to acupuncture treatment, particularly for musculo-skeletal injuries.
I qualified and began practising in 2008 and continue to be awed with and inspired by the changes that can take place in people following treatment. I feel I am now on a lifelong journey of learning and development!
I can treat many conditions and I have a particular interest in mental health.
